10th region teams

Featured Replies

I guess a good thing for the rest of the 10th Region is that you don't play a 5 or 7 game series. GRC may be top 5, but I still like Bourbon and Brossart as the co favorites with Harrison, Scott, GRC and Campbell in the mix with the right draw. And like I have said before, Pendleton will be ready to compete by Tournament time.

Pendleton will be young, but more experienced than years past, I would expect a few games over .500 for the Cats, and by tourney time they could be a tough out.

I would put Bourbon #1 with what they have returning. Then I'd have Harrison and GRC next. GRC while returning 6 seniors will also add another senior who did not play last year. Harrison is always in the mix.

Campbell Co. returns pitchers that got 15 of the Camels 18 wins last year. There JV also won 18 games last year. Should be another great year in the tenth region.

Is the Franzen kid who pitched for the Camels last year back, or did he graduate, Old Soda?

Andy Franzen is a Junior righthander and has two years left. His older brother John was a lefty pitcher for the Camel team that made it to the Regional finals in 2005. Jordan Woodruff is also a junior who got five wins last year as a sophomore. Travis Hurd and Luke Bray are both senior pitchers this year for the Camels.

Camels will contend this year!!

Thanks, Old Soda.:thumb: I was thinking of John Franzen, he was a tough lefty. I don't know anything about Andy. Just got my Franzen's confused.:D

romeo, who does Pendleton have returning on the hill. Are they Seniors or underclassmen? Thanks in advance for the info.

Pendleton will have four senior pitchers returning this year, three starters and a reliever/closer. Righties Dustin Yelton and Ryan McElfresh along with lefty Kris Fields will be the top three in the rotation, and righty Todd Meece will come out of the pen. Also junior righthander Chris Speier came on very strong at the end of last year and will get some innings this season.

Does anyone know anything about Mason County?

They will have a good team and might night make it out of districts, the 37th is going to be tough again this year. This is easily going to be the toughest district to get out of year in and year out, with Brossart, Campbell, and Scott traditionally having teams that are able to compete, it is a shame year in and year out that one of these teams will not make it to regional play.

I think Bourbon, Montgomery and Clark are historically a better trio than Campbell, Brossart and Scott.

Agreed, but its not fun to be in either one...

:thumb: competlely forgot those three where in the same district.

Put any of those six teams in the districts that Harrison and Mason have and they would have a cakewalk just like Mason and Harrison every year.
