District play begins this Friday night in 1A District 4 as the Bishop Brossart Mustangs (5-1) travel to Thomas More University to take on Covington Holy Cross (2-4).  First year Mustangs coach Adam Kozerski returns to take on his old alma mater and also where his dad Bruce coached for so many years.  Adam had also been an assistant coach with Bruce since he had graduated.  There is a lot of familiarity with these two teams.  First year Indians coach Curt Spencer brings in a young team that showed lots of improvement in Friday night's win at Morgan County.  Who gets the best of this rivalry? Oh, did I forget to say that the principals of the two schools were brothers?

Brossart punts from their own end zone and almost recovers the bobbled reception but Holy Cross comes away with it.

Brossart stopped Holy Cross on fourth down again. Still 14-0. The play of this game (so far) came in the first half when Brossart stuffed Holy Cross on fourth down on the goal line.
