Owensboro Catholic (5-0) hosts Crittenden County (2-2) at Steele Stadium. The Aces are coming off a dominant 28-2 win over Henderson County. Crittenden is coming in fresh off the bye.

For the Aces, the Henderson County game represented their best defensive performance so far this year while featuring a lackluster offensive performance, at least compared to their usual standard. Piloted by Brady Atwell, they still went for over 300 yards in the air but they were held to just 32 yards on 20 rushing attempts. Coming in to this game, though they certainly lean towards passing, they were averaging 140 yards per game on the ground with Atwell accounting for 75 per game. The reason, at least the obvious one - Atwell rolled his ankle early but stayed in the game. The ground game was never really a factor.

The Aces beat Crittenden County in both the regular season and the playoffs last year, a combined total of 111 - 19. There is no reason so far this year to believe this will shake out any differently, however, that margin of victory may depend on how involved Atwell can be in the running game.
