Paducah Tilghman 56 Hopkinsville 0

Featured Replies

Tilghman led 28-0 at the end of the 1st and got the running clock with about 9 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.

Martels Carter did not play in this game for the Tornado. I would assume precautionary measures after he looked slightly uncomfortable a few times during last week's game.

Tilghman travesl to Allen County-Scottsville next week.

That PT team that played tonight will be playing in Kroger field. Goodness.

I would love to see it, but I know 4A is so very talented, a long way to go yet. They are definitely fun to watch.

Are there any competitive games on the schedule?

Debbie Downer needs to add - how are Hoptown and Christian County so bad this year???  There are so many good athletes in that area.  I will go ahead and chalk it up to pre-merger issues.  I guarantee that merged school will be a force to be reckoned with!  Right???

Hope I’m not being too ugly in this post.  This just baffles me.

Tilghman travels to Allen County-Scottsville next week. That is most likely the toughest game left on the schedule. They are now 5-0 after tonight's win over Logan County.

Way too much speed, wouldn’t even call it competition, will be a running clock at halftime. However, this is the first time the Patriots have started the season 5-0 since 2010, that team went on to the State Championship and lost to Boyle County.

Inexperience, lack of coaching continuity, and just a down couple of years.

Hoptown was in the semi-finals in 2020 but that seems like a long time ago.

Both teams are also playing a very tough schedule that is a little above their current talent levels.

Athleticism only takes you so far. The game is won or lost in the trenches and neither school has had good line play the last few years. Lineman have to be developed. But the good ones don’t grow on trees.

That's what I am hearing as well! The Blue Tornado is back!
