Meade County generated 383 yards of offense Friday night against Henderson County but still lost the game 43-29. Meade County allowed Henderson County RB Trajdon Davis, 123 yards rushing on the night. This combined with 3 lost fumbles on the night, including one for a TD late in the 4th quarter put this game out of reach. If Meade County wants to win in week 2, they must slow down the rushing attack of Antonio Kinzer and Connor Johnson of Elizabethtown. This RB duo combined for 237 yards rushing vs Fairdale. 

Meade County's size and speed at the skill positions should wear down Elizabethtown in the second half of this game.

My Prediction: Meade County 34 Elizabethtown 12

    Meade finally decided they were obviously the bigger team. Got out of the spread and went I formation. They are running it down Etowns throat now. Etown just doesn’t have the size to compete with

They have some good young talent and will be good in a couple years. They are playing several freshmen. Coach Mattingly and his staff have done a tremendous job at getting buy in from the players, parents and community. He is an excellent coach. It was a great thing for them to get that first win to instill confidence in the players.

While I hope the winning continues I believe Meade will be too much for them. Fairdale was awful and Etown made them pay for their mistakes.

Any word on if this game start time will be delayed due to weather? I guess we will have to wait to see what the heat index will be tomorrow. I plan on attending this game vs going to the Central Hardin vs Manual train wreck tomorrow.
