Not much to argue with in these rankings but there are a few intriguing matchups this week:

• Does Pikeville get their first win against a Johnson Central team that was surprised by Madison Central last week?
• Is Raceland strong enough this early in the season to hold off visiting Letcher Central?
• Can Hazard follow their big win over Martin County with a win over an even bigger school in Harlan County?

I’m looking at that Sayre and Bracken County matchup. It has the makings of a dandy. Bracken County did an excellent job last season against a Beechwood team to limit their possession. I think that’s what they need to do in this one as well. Keep that offense on the sideline.
