Why doesn't Mason County host a Classic, like Scott County?

Featured Replies

I believe the exact reason is you can only play schools that are members of their states association. Which hurts KY schools.

How does this hurt Ky. schools?

I just believe that KY schools should have the opportunity to play any of the top teams in the country, and Oak Hill has always been a top team, if not the #1 team, and will continue to do so. To be the best you must play the best. I just think KY should be like most states.

I would like to see a KY team, any team, beat them sometime, now they don't have that opportunity. Plus I am sure it would be a very good gate for the KY school. It's good for the fans as well.

They could call it The Mitsubishi Classic at Mason County maybe they would be interested in sponsoring a Classic never hurts to ask a few local buisnesses. Maysville also has a Lowes opening soon . Maybe some of the larger companies in the area would go together to sponsor something . Afterall these companies need some write offs.

I'm all for that as long as employees get free passes!

In my opinion Oak Hill is not a high school team. How about Harmony High of Cincinnati. Their bylaws say students or "non students" can participate in athletics. Their quarterback last year was not inrolled in school. Of course they are not a member of their state association.
