I think KP played the good cop to Cal's bad cop. Honestly, that's probably his ceiling as a coach.

That being said, I tend to agree with @TheDeuce .   You can't fail epically 2 times in a row on the departments marquee hire.

He has to keep disgruntled baseball coach Dan McDonnell happy, too.
