No matter what happened before this game it is a good win for the Whitley program...

This was a good win for Whitley. The team needed a boost. I'm sorry that N.L. is having problems but every team has obstacles to over come at some point. I'm sure North will bounce back. Come anyone tell me why the thread on the issues at North disappeared?

Good win for Whitley. I hope North gets things straightened out in the near future. The kids deserve better than this.

I hope North gets their problems worked out. It's ashame that a whole team has to suffer for bad decisions made by a few.

Who all played well for the Colonels in this game? This to me seems a bit surprising..I mean the Colonels over N.L. Any stats on this one and who was a few difference makers in this game?

It was a nice win for Whitley but lets be honest, N.L. was not on top of their game. They had been up all night at the school board meeting and had just lost 2 of their players, one who was one of their best. On a normal night, IMO North would have won. Yes, it was a nice win but you must take into consideration the extra load that North was carrying while they were playing.

Sure everyone knows the adversity that North had to overcome, but there are no conditions to give a break to a team going throught what they are going through. Be honest the school board who had the meeting at that time was wrong, but before that the mistakes that were made by the coaching staff that set all this off is ultimately responsible.

 

Regardless, Whitley played well and turned back several nice runs by NL. North got every break from the officials including a terrible call late in the game when Whitley was trying to inbound the ball and it was tipped and they gave the ball to NL. Free throws kept the Jags in the game and allowed them to keep several Whitley players on the bench in foul trouble.

 

Give Whitley some credit for playing well.

Dalton was back Friday and North Laurel led most of the way before Cawood rallied to win 59-51.
