I think the info you are looking for is posted on the other thread named the same as this one!I asked the same question about info getting to the paper and Coach Schultz said she calls it in religiously the day after (or day of) the game to the Maysville Ledger so I'm not sure why it isn't always in the paper.

It's been an ongoing problem for Bracken County home games for years now. Lots of people complain about it. Their home wins and losses are never sent into the Lexington Herald and their scores are never on Lexington channels. Should be as simple as picking up a phone.

Check today's Ledger All In. Small article in there. I agree with you, though. Iwould really like to see more detailed info on teams not located in Maysville.

Who is in charge of sending scores in to newspapers and TV stations for Bracken County? There was no mention of this game in the Ledger, Lexington-Herald,etc. And it seems to happen a lot for the Bracken girls and boys, especially when they play at home. Does anyone know why this is,has been like this for a couple of years now.

It is the coachs responsability to call in the scores to the local newspapers and i believe that most of the time it is in the maysville paper both coach Schultz and coach Fite are usually pretty good about getting them in. What the paper decides to do with the information left is up to them . As far as the lexington papers go i did see some scores in there last year but havnt this year. I dont bieleve that any of the scores are put on the news stations . But im sure if there is someone out there that would like to have this done then the schools would probably let them do this anyone associated with the school or team is aloud to report scores ( I think)

Coach Schultz is one of the better coaches about calling scores in (for the Ledger at least, not sure about Lexington) but Monday's just happened to come in after deadline and was in today's paper.

As a general rule, you'll get a full story for any games a writer goes to and the ones that get called in will have a few paragraphs with a box and whatever details the coach makes available.

Hearing from the Pendleton side, alot of injuries coming out of the game last night. One comment was "WWE should have broadcast it as a PPV."

Ladycats nursing plenty of injuries today.

Wanted to quote my own post as it seemed to lead to a discussion that I did not indicate originally.

Games are going to be physical. You take the floor against Campbell County, you best be ready to be physical. You played us, you had best be ready to take a charge because we were going to the basket and it was either going to be a layup, a block or a charge. And for a long while, referees didn't believe girls would stand their and take charges without moving, so most of the time it was a block. :D

Games are going to be physical.

I heard that about this game. Rachael King's arm was in a sling on Tuesday. As someone mentioned a tooth issue arose. Another had a twisted knee and two others went to the ground on some picks.

Just an observation.
