Another good showing by the Panthers against a hot Boone County team while on the road.

A-town is making an early statement that they belong in the contender conversation in the 10th. 

With under 2:00 to go and Augusta down one, Boone D came up big contesting a short jumper and two put back attempts by Henson with the 3rd blocked and recovered by a Boone airborne player jumping back in bounds.  The controversial non-call save led to a run out and one.  Augusta Coach probably deserved a T, but refs were generously tolerant recognizing in the hectic scramble none were positioned to make the call.  

This game was tight all the way and could have gone either way.  Augusta played the  final 6 minutes without their key PG Jefferson.  His 5th foul led the thin Panther’s squad unable to handle Boone’s PG Williams who dominated the close with multiple FTs for the final margin.

depth is the one thing that could keep Augusta from making a postseason run.
