Monticello 87 Williamsburg 79

Final.

Game was at Williamsburg and I thought they would win this one by atleast ten even though neither team is very good.

Two good wins for the Monticello program this week, beating Berea and Williamsburg. Hopefully it will springboard the Trojans into a little better basketball and perhaps an upset in the All "A."

Williamsburg had opportunity to win this one but much like the cats yesterday couldn't pull the trigger on the victory. Cunningham played a very good game and McRae played one of his better games. Teague played only a few minutes and is still hobbled. Petit appears to be improving a bunch.

Williamsburg played great team ball tonight. McRay passed the ball well and make some good shoots, Cunningham shoot well, and Pettit and Kilgore both rebounded strong. Teague is at about 60% but should be ready for the All A. Monticello just killed us with 3 pointers. I think the total was 15 out of 17. It's hard to defend against that kind of shooting. Hats off to Monticello. It was good to see Williamsburg play with more teamwork. Keep up the good work, Coach R.

When I first saw this post I figured the game was at Monticello, this was a game Wburg should have won at home. I watched them eariler in the year and felt like they were much better than last year. They need to take care of their home court againest teams like Monticello.
