Class 4A

1. Boyle County vs. Whitley County

2. Corbin vs. Wayne County

3. Covington Catholic vs. Greenup County

4. Paducah Tilghman vs. Breckinridge County

5. Franklin County vs. Doss

6. Johnson Central vs. Grant County

7. Ashland vs. Harrison County

8. Taylor County vs. Letcher County Central

9. Logan County vs. John Hardin

10. Bardstown vs. Allen County-Scottsville

I know I’m high on Bardstown but I wouldn’t be shocked to see ACS vs Bardstown be a good game. From what I have seen ACS has a solid run defense and Bardstown will have to out athlete them. A bit biased but also think Logan vs JH will be a good game. All depends on if #7 will play 

I know I'm hypothetically (and I generally hate them) putting the cart before the horse, but you could make a pretty solid argument that whomever wins the 4A State Championship is the best team in KY this year.

Class 4A has about ten teams that could be ranked anywhere from 9th on down. I agree with you that both of those games could be very good.

I’d say that about Boyle, Corbin, and CovCath. I might not say it about Franklin or Tilghman right now. But if either of those two win it all, then you’d have to say they’re perhaps the best.

That was my thinking.  If someone comes out of 4A, and it isn't one of the Big 3 you mentioned first, they had to have beaten one of those three.  Just insane strength at the top of this class.  From the semis forward, this class will be a "grab your popcorn and enjoy" game for all 3 contests.
