Semifinal game between NDA vs winner of Cov Latin/Homes will be Tuesday

Frank's forecast:

33rd:  Conner beats Cooper

34th:  Dixie beats St. Henry

35th:  NDA beats Beechwood

36th:  Highlands beats NCC

I don't see any of these games being close except maybe the Conner v Cooper game.

Beechwood won 3-1 over Holy Cross.  It was disappointing for the Lady Indians for sure.  It was a hard fought and very physical game.  Beechwood had a yellow card for pushing Hoffman on a scoring drive within the first few minutes of the game but HC couldn’t convert the free kick.  Beechwood’s first goal was in the first half with a hard hit ball from a nice cross through traffic.  The game stayed tied with the a couple of fouls setting up a free kick from just outside the 18 for both teams but both missed.  Midway through the second half there was contact in the box on the Beechwood offensive side.  The HC player went to ground and the ball ricocheted off her body and a hand ball was called. Beechwood converted their PK.   Beechwood’s final goal came not long after on a shot the hit off a HC player and went in behind the goalie.  HC’s sole goal came on a nice shot by Jenna Saalfeld from outside when the goalie came out to defend.  Both goalies Fowee for Beechwood and Klais for HC had really nice games.  Lack of scoring has been HC’s Achilles heel the entire season and Beechwood was able to take advantage and get the win.  Good luck at regionals and prayers for the several girls who were injured as I said very physical game and not a lot of fouls called.

33rd District Championship:  Cooper avenges their regular season loss to Conner by taking the District Title game 2-1, behind Maleah Alexander's 2 goals

35th District Semifinal game:  NDA mercy rules Covington Latin 10-0

34th District Semifinal game:  Dixie destroys Ludlow 9-0

34th District Semifinal game:  St. Henry beats Villa Madonna 5-0

36th District Championship game:  Highlands takes care of NCC 8-0

34th District Championship:  Dixie survives in PKs to beat St. Henry 4-4

35th District Championship:  Notre Dame beats Beechwood 3-1

Final thoughts:  Almost went as planned except for the Cooper flipping the Regular season result on Conner.  St. Henry putting up a strong fight against Dixie.  Now the anticipation of the draw.  I think its today but it could be tomorrow.  I'll be watching for it and will post as soon as possible.
