April 3, 200719 yr You guys could sell jerseys like Kobe, Carter, Garnett, LeBron.....etc.etc.etc... or you could win rings like every great big man but Ewing.........
April 3, 200719 yr Rings???????????? If your saying neither T-Mac or Garnett have championships rings....So what? What does that have to do with Durant being a player like T-Mac or Garnett???
April 3, 200719 yr Spin moves and hook shots and hitting free throws apparently don't mean anything to you.... oh and dominating Noah and Horford and Richard.... oh and dunking and dominating hasn't worked for past centers??????????? Oden will be better than 3 guys on your list..... Oden is 18 and could start center in the league tomorrow. Oden won't even sniff the success Shaq has had, and Howard is already one of the most dominant players in the game. Amare is more athletic than Oden and he has a jumpshot and somewhat of a handle. Oden can do absolutely nothing outside of 5 feet. He will be a solid starter, probably even an All-Star, but nothing more IMO.
April 3, 200719 yr Ok Kevin Garnett....... he's got a lot of playoff wins............ Better than KG...

Plus he's 18 years old and still getting better. Plus he's a good free throw shooter. None of those guys have rings because Shaq is a dominant center who can't shoot unless he's 2 feet away. This year one of them might get one because Shaq has no supporting cast (Penny, Kobe, Wade). Other than Jordan when has a swing man ever been the difference? Argueably last year, but Wade wasn't the best 2 in the league, but Miami had the best center (Mourning/Shaq) combined.
April 3, 200719 yr 19... That's what I thought, but Billy Packer and Nance said otherwise...... GOOD ARGUEMENT!!!!

Last year the best 4 teams in the league, (Miami,Detroit, Dallas, and Phoenix), were all centered around perimeter/slashers. If you don't think Wade carried that Heat team to a title, than this is pointless to debate.
April 3, 200719 yr I strongly disagree... Because????????? If his greatness depends on size, hands, agiligy, awareness, touch, SIZE, or aggressiveness...... What don't you like? 2 lottery picks just looked bad.....VERY BAD. Florida either fouled him or he scored. He dominated the lane altering shots and bolcking shots. Why can't Oden not be GREAT? He he gets the ball he makes a move. If the move fails, he is athletic enough to still score. Did you see the block/goaltend that was above the square? Not at the top, but several inches above the square.

April 3, 200719 yr That's what I thought, but Billy Packer and Nance said otherwise...... GOOD ARGUEMENT!!!! You're throwing out talking points and I just get a kick out of picking out what you say wrong like you do to everyone else. How many 7'0" guys have been touted the next "big" thing and been a bust? More than the guys you mentioned with a title plus Ewing. Oden will have a good NBA Career and may even make a few All Star games. That won't be better than Durant. So make all the talking point posts you want. That's how I see it...

Out of those 4 teams who was best at the Center???????????? Miami.... PG, Phoenix, SG Phoenix, 3 Dallas, and 4 Detroit.....................Who won? Ewing it the one and only....
