Week 3 Results: Logan County beat Russellville 49-14 | Greenwood lost to Owensboro Catholic  13-43

Series History: Greenwood leads 13-2 dating back to 1998

Where they've been: The only real test the Cougars have seen this year was a two score win over Rossview (TN) where they led 21-0 at the half and held on to the finish line. The Gators impressed in Weeks 1 & 2 before getting completely taken apart by Owensboro Catholic. 

Where they're going: We'll see where Greenwood's head is at this Friday when they venture from the 'Swamp' to Russellville. The Gators gave pretty well owned this series over the last 25 years, but it's tightened up with Adler at the helm of the Cougars.

I picked GW but I wouldn’t be completely shocked if LC won.

Davin Yates (SR) who was the QB of a very good Logan County football team last season that finished 11-2 has turned WR this year, Ridge Holman (SO) has took over the QB role and has excelled, tallying 9 Passing TD’s for 690 yards with 0 INT’s in his first 3 games. Rossview (TN) was a decent test but I’d venture out and say this will be a bigger challenge for the Cougars as they hope to continue their win streak before welcoming Allen County Scottsville next week at home to start district play.

The Gators were completely shutdown last week at Steele stadium, I’m sure they left Owensboro questioning what the problem was, but that O Cath team may just be that good. Fortunately for Greenwood there’s several weeks ahead and enough time to correct problems before district play. This has to be a big bounce back week for the team; I believe they are capable of competing with the Cougars this Friday night, but I don’t believe they’ll get it done.

21-13 final. Very fiscal game!!! Logan just could not get anything going. Greenwood had two big plays a blocked punt for TD. Then Tel kid got loose in the middle for a 60-70 yard TD. Good game and good luck to both teams!
