? Final at Appalachian Wireless Arena per "The Scoreboard."

The Cardinals will play Frederick Douglass in Round 1 of the Sweet 16.

Really happy for Martin County. They won the region in 2020, only to see the tournament canceled by Covid. They'll go for sure this time, their first state tournament game since 1983!

Martin County was 19-2 heading into the state All "A" Tournament, lost to Evangel, then proceeded to lose eight straight games to close the regular season. Now they've won five straight, including a district and region title, and are headed to Rupp Arena. What a wild season!

Congrats to Martin County!  Glad they won.

Watching, it seemed Pikeville went conservative too early. Up 4-5 and holding the ball with still over 3 minutes left.
