Braves getting worked on the boards!

23-18 WV after 1. Grant with a late push, missed an open fast-break layup at the buzzer.

Walton seemed to rule the rebounding in the first quarter 

43-31 WV 2:47 left in the second. WV is hot from deep, Wills for Grant is helping a ton on offense, but killing them on defense.

WV is en fuego.  GC settling for too many contested jump shots.

50-40 WV at half. Grant with a huge 4-point run within the last 30 seconds.

GC gotta tighten down the defense or their run is over before it even gets started.

The big kid for Grant is killing them on the defensive side for sure. Grant is trading 2’s for 3’s in the second quarter.

Hammonds finally came alive towards the end of the 2nd, giving GC a huge boost going into half.

When Willis for Grant was in the game, walton forced him out to the top of the key and guard someone off the dribble, and he could not guard them. That led to many open looks for WV, and boy did they take advantage of them.

Grant County’s early struggles on the board killed them to start the game, getting WV out to a lead quick, and they have not looked back since. I don’t think that Grant has led in the game yet.

As mentioned before, Walton is lights out from 3. Over 60% if I were to guess.

Grant will have to find a way to guard, and if that is without Willis then they will need to have more guys contribute on the boards, and find another contributor on offense. They are a lot better offensively with him in the game.

Breeden is the best player for Grant. Straight scorer and can create his own shot.
