Logan County plays host to the Patriots of Allen County. These teams have played once before this season resulting in a 26-16 win for LC.

Moving past the opening game of the season, they have two mutual opponents in Franklin Simpson and Greenwood. FS defeated ACS by a score of 17-7 in a defensive battle throughout most of the game. Logan put 41 on the Wildcats and walked away with a 41-31 victory. Both teams played Greenwood to a loss, however both were competitive.  Logan left with a 28-21 loss and ACS a 42-24 loss.

I will say this is one of the more interesting 1 vs 4 matchups due to the scores given. All signs to me point to the Cougars but that is why they play the game. Thoughts?

 

I don't think AC/S will win, but they have shown at points in the year that they have all the tools to be competitive and dangerous in the game.  Sustaining it throughout is usually where the problems begin for the Patriots.  That Franklin-Simpson game is a prime example.  AC/S was all over them in the first half, but frequently failed to finish drives and came away with only seven points, leading 7-0.  They never could regain the offensive initiative in the second half, and the Wildcats wore the defense down with some long drives with multiple 3rd and 4th down conversions.  It was still just 10-7 late before Franklin broke a long TD on 4th down from their own side of the field.  A bounce here and there and that's a win - several games this year could be defined that way for AC/S.

Logan has a tuff draw, Allen county is a hard nosed team. They have been in every game this year and just had some bad breaks here and there. Logan will have to come ready to play and forget they beat them earlier this year. Come in hungry and this game will go their way. 42-21 LC

ACS has played very well in the first half of games this year, but they seem to collapse in the second half for some reason. I think they keep it close for a while but I expect Logan County to pull away after halftime.
