Central Hardin (7-1), comes into this matchup fresh off of a 37-10 dismantling of Meade County without 2 of their top running backs in Mason Gardner, who was out with a stomach virus and Terry Brooks who is still out with and recovering from a broken collarbone suffered in the second game of the season at Butler, out for this game.

Central Hardin made some adjustments at halftime to it's defensive scheme and it offensive gameplan and dominated in the trenches, outscoring Meade County 22-0 in the second half.

On the good news home front, Mason Gardner will be back in this matchup with North Hardin as well as CB/RB Terry Brooks.

North Hardin comes into this game fresh off of a thrashing of Barren County by the score of 35-7. RB Kai Bord has a huge night, rushing for 236 yards on 23 carries. Receiver Shaun Boykins had another monster night as well recording 7 receptions for 175 yards.

For some insight into this game, I talked to several Meade County parents that I know, who have players on the team, and asked them who they would pick in this matchup since Meade County has played both teams in consecutive weeks. Thier unanimous response was that they would take Central Hardin by 2 touchdowns in this game. Central Hardin's size and depth in the trenches on both side of the ball as well as having the ability to use literally, 5 different RBs during the game, really gives Central Hardin the advantage in this matchup. Oh, by the way, this is also matchup to determine the district champion.

A big boost for CH will be the return of Terry Brooks at the CB position and his threat as a receiver downfield and RB out of the backfield.

I’m interested in this matchup since CH plays South Oldham in week 10. Just solely off common opponents I’ll take CH by 14 but am interested to see what CH has against a solid opponent.
