Another big 11th region job open.  Austin Newton has left to become Berea College Men’s Basketball coach. 

Cooper lives just west down 52 in GC and lost a few athletes. Would he be interested? 

I would think with it being mid Sept. they would hire an interim in-house.  They have credible assistants who have been with the program a long time.

True.  I would think it would be a no brainer for him to try and leave GC for Southern.  Southern's team is a capable state contender. 

Southern definitely has fire power with Rose, Hudson, Nobbe and Couple Big guys that can play. I can see the interest  in wanting to coach those guys. 

Aaron Ponder should get this job as interim minimum.  Go on and name him head if he wants it.

Cooper would be a great fit! 

Cooper and Rose on same team would be a potent 1-2 Punch. Be a lot of fun to watch. 

Bill Bevins long time assistant (20 years I believe) has been named coach. Good decision IMO.  He’s been instrumental in culture built.
