Great game last night in the Fort!

Congratulations to the very tough Pioneers freshman team, who gutted out the win vs. a very good Tiger freshman team. 

We saw a lot of future varsity starts on the field for both teams last night. The MVP of the game in my mind was SK's QB Torin Turner, who played lights out in the second half. Very tough young man, who ran tough, ran a TD in and threw an impressive TD rolling to his left (he's a righty) and firing a laser into the end zone to a young man (Jackson Miller I believe) who made a really nice catch. I was also impressed with #11 Farfsing, who rotated with Turner at QB. Those two on the field on the same time make that team very good.

Beechwood was led by 8th grader WR Tyler Fryman and RB Nathan Pabst. Two young men that have had outstanding seasons. The SK run defense was stout and really hurt the Tigers chances of getting much done on the ground. 

Great game to watch, great sportsmanship and I expect big things from both groups of young men moving forward.

Nice win for SK. Hopefully this really turns the program around to where they won’t get beat by small schools anymore.

Fryman is a good kid from a great family.

Indeed. He was a monster when playing up for years. I suspect he’ll be one of the top kids around from that 8th grade class in multiple sports.
