Camels hoof it to Versailles to meet highly regarded Jackets

Table Setter: Woodford County showed no signs of an early season letdown, following a breakthrough campaign last year. The Yellow Jackets made short work of LaRue County in Week 1, rolling to a first half running clock. Ball State commit Aden Nelson took a punt back for a score and sophomore Andrew Nason added two rushing touchdowns.

Campbell County downed Newport Central Catholic for the second season opener in a row. Quarterback Nate Smith had a career night with 347 yards of total offense and three touchdowns, all rushing. His dual threat ability hurt NewCath and could be key to Campbell County pulling the upset here. Following last year's win over the 'Breds, it was all down hill for the Camels, who endured ten straight losses afterward. It all started with a 34-13 defeat to the team they'll see this week.

LaRue Co is low tier 3A and Campbell County is bottom tier 6A.

WoFo has never scheduled a tough out of district schedule and it does hurt them in November. I think moving forward, 2023, you will see bigger marque matchups in their schedule. Not only do they need it for RPI and playoff prep but they also need it for their kids recruitment. Put them on the big stage against other Jimmys and Joes with offers.
