What changes the teams within the district is the redistricting process that happens when the KHSAA reclassifies schools. So you will see a difference within the districts next season since the KHSAA is set to reclassify this upcoming offseason. Is Douglass finally moving up to 6A? I'm wondering what happens with Great Crossing, FD, and Scott County.

After that RPI kicks in and the 1 from east plays 4 from east, so on so forth. Then fourth round is where final four teams are ranked in RPI regardless of region. Then state championship. What do you mean that 1 from east plays 1 from east?

Districts 1-4 are the west and districts 5-8 are the east. In the third round your 1st seed from the east will play your 4th seed from the east, and those seeds are based off of RPI which stops calculating after the regular season.
