Had heard former Tennessee Tech head coach and Russell County native Steve Payne was a candidate but has turned down the position.

This is a good opportunity for someone to step in and build a program. Willoughby is a tough body in the middle and Goode, Randolph and Brown will be year older and stronger. Hearing Casey has some good young guys coming up in the system.
