What does Ballard Memorial need to do to improve in 2007? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Thats a good question, I have wondered why Ballard can't produce a good team year in and year out. Occasionally they have some really outstanding players but not year in and out. But I have been told that Ballard is one of the biggest 1A schools in the state and that is why I question them. But I don't know much more than anybody else but my thinking is if they got the right coach in there he could turn it around and really make something out of that school.

The numbers that I have read on BGP says that Ballard is at 212 and Mayfield is at 207. I don't think they are one of the biggest 1A schools. If that was the case wouldn't they have moved up in class?

Ballard Memorial needs a coach who will stay a while and who can put some interest and discipline back into the program with discipline being the key part.

You are right, I just looked at the KHSAA's enrollment report for them, I was basing my facts off what I have been told, even still, they should be able to produce a better football team with the right coach in place.

According to the roster from last year Boruff was just a sophomore...so he will be a junior this year...Ballard should be improved somewhat as they only had a handful of seniors graduate...although one of those was Nick Logsdon...one of their few offensive threats from a season ago.

Ballard was sucessful a few years ago when they had a coach named Jack Haskins. Ballard's only hurdle then was the Mayfield Cardinals. Now Haskins is in his 4th year at Lone Oak & should field the best Lone Oak team in the schools history. Watch out for the flash this year. Good Luck Ballard
