Montgomery Co. wins Owensboro Invitational

Featured Replies

The Lady Indians end 2006 with a great showing in Owensboro. Here are the results of their games.

Game 1- MC 87 Hopkinsville 37

Game 2- MC 67 Daviess Co. 48

Game 3- MC 59 Southwestern 38

Game 4- MC 60 Henderson Co. 57

Finals- MC 63 Ohio Co. 54

The Lady Indians have now won 10 of their last 11 games after a slow start. Looks like they are going to be touch again in the 10th.

Right now they're the class of the 10th, no contest.

Congrats to the Lady Indians. Represented the 10th well.:thumb:

They are definitely the best team in the 10th region. Great thing about the regional tournament is that the best team doesn't win every night. The team that plays the best that night does.

And Mason, GRC and Brossart could knock them off.

It was a good week for Montgomery County as the girls won this tournament and the boys won the Berea Invitational.

Always glad when our rivals do well. :thumb:

Montgomery Co. is a very strong team, and will be the big contender in the 10th region this year.

Mason Co. will be right up there with them, but have a limited bench, therefore making Montgomery Co.'s job fairly easy...get Cline, Chambers, or any 2 or 3 of the starting 5 in foul trouble early, and call it a game, IMO.
