If he wants to continue coaching, might not be a bad move.   Still gets to do what he loves and doesn't have to worry about as much travel and time away from family.

Thomas More is about to move to Division II into an Ohio-centric conference. They’ll have scholarships, unlike their time in Division III, but won’t be competing against some of the Kentucky powers they’ve been with in NAIA. Is this a good move or a bad move? Is this more or less appealing for a coach?

It really seems to be a lateral move in the end. While NCAA DII seems more prestigious, there are a lot of good NAIA schools that would dominate in most DII conferences. There just are some many layers to college sports to choose from.
