I agree, this has to be the year for Estill to prove themselves in the 14th. By looking at their schedule, they are playing more 14th region teams, this season. Lee is still a good team. Even though they have a new coach, they have the same players. It really depends how that coach will interact with the players, on how they'll do this season. Don't overlook them.

I agree Lee Co. has to good of a tradition to be over looked but they also graduated alot of players and lost a good batter Eversole to Montgomery Co. so they dont quiet have the talnet like last year. But you are right they don't need to be over looked they will have a fine season just not as good as some of the other seasons have been.

I agree with TinCup11 I think you can't look over Lee but i believe that Estill and Powell will be the strongest. Once again making the 56th district the best district in the Region.

Yeah, but Estill returns either their whole starting line-up or 8 players of it, so if you think they need to prove themselves this will be the year. Lee lost to much (including a coach) last year to make it out of the tough 56th so it will be Powell and Estill and along with Perry, Hazard, and Leslie make up the top teams in this region. :thumb:

Estill had a different lineup nearly every game roatating the three seniors, so they're returning 8 starters pretty much, and everyone should be on the lookout for them this year. Lee Co. has always been a tough team but I'm curious to see how much of that was due to their coach, losing Coach Combs was a huge loss for that program. And Powell Co. has been very tough over the last couple of years and I look for the same this year. I believe the 56th will be the best district in the 14th this year, aside from the 56th I'm not to sure about the rest of the region.

Don't be surprised to see Buckhorn turn some heads this season. They only lost two starters and has some very good young talent that is starting to get older.

IMO the 56th has the toughest distirct and it woldnt surprise me to see the Regional Champ come from the 56th. Too, you always have good teams in Hazard and Perry Central. The 56th with Estill being the favorite and Powell and Lee usually competitive It will make for a good season...........But its a long time until May.

Buckhorn lost Kevin Davidson (OF,P) who went on to play for ALC and Matthew Bowling (2B). They still return Blank, Hyden, and Rice. Hyden will be one of the better pitchers of the region. The only ????? about this team will be the coach. I am not sure they have hired one yet. I think Tim Miller will be the coach, but I am not sure on this.
