Where do u think Wolfe will rank in the 14th this year??

Wolfe was a better team last season. They played like a top team. And beat some good teams last season. If Wolfe didn't lose too many players they should be able to compete in the region again

Wolfe lost only lost 4 starters from last season and have some good underclassmen comming in this season and i think they will have a good chance in competing in the region this year and years to come

Youve got Estill to low they should be closer to number 1 spot and Lee is a few spots to high. IMO.:thumb:

I agree Estill should maybe be number one. Time will tell but I do have the feeling that Powell and Lee county being the best in the 56th district is over. All though they are top teams in the region also.

Estill still has to prove themselves in the 14th. They didn't make it to the 14th region tournament and lost in the first round of the 56th district tournament. Estill did play Powell tough in that game. Estill was 5-4 in the region and 2-4 in their district. They really need to play more 14th teams. Estill only played six, playing Powell and Lee twice. And it looks like they will only be playing 7 14th region teams this upcoming season. It's great to play tougher teams, but, you need to play those that you will face in the 56 district and possibly the 14th region to be able to move on.

KCC went 12-21 last year and if they didn't lose anyone, then that just means that they still have all the same players from a 12-21 team. And 7 wins in the weakest district in the 14th. Could be another long season for the Patriots.

Yeah, but Estill returns either their whole starting line-up or 8 players of it, so if you think they need to prove themselves this will be the year. I wouldn't count Lee Co. out just yet, they return Stamper, Shuler, Ty Combs, Drake, and Perkins. I have heard that Brandenburg and one of the twins from the b-ball team are thinking about playing this year. They are both good, strong athletes that were exceptional in Little League.

 

The kids they have returning are well-disciplined and know how to work (because of coach Combs).

Knott did lose 3 starting seniors. They do return 6 starters. Last season should have been the one where KCC broke through and would contend for the region. Midway through the season, they lost one of their key batters and starting catcher to an injury. When one of your teammates are out and the team has no idea when he'll be back, if at all, it'll take some out of them. That happened. It showed. Most of those boys played on or against each other since AABC. And they really wanted to finish together with a region champioship. It drove the team down, and they really didn't recover.

 

This season they return with 6 starters from last season. The Pats do have some underclassmen that have been playing together on Summer and Fall teams. One that will take 3rd base. He's not a great batter, but his glove makes up for that. Another addition will be in the OF. This kid played some last season. His bat is getting better and he stole some bases to put himself in scoring position. Lastly, they added another OF'er that did play some last season.

 

We'll see where the Patriots are at and how well they will do right off the bat, no pun intended . They play Letcher Central on April 5th and then travel to Montgomery County the next day.

Even though they have a new coach, they have the same players. It really depends how that coach will interact with the players, on how they'll do this season. Don't overlook them.
