West Carter at Russell Predictions/Updates

West Carter Travels to Russell for the regular season Finale on Friday.

West Carter has wins over Fleming County 6-0, East Carter 22-16, Shelby Valley 26-20, Bath County 49-15, Prestonsburg 41-20, Martin County 35-14, East Ridge  52-12 and Losses to Raceland 21-0, Rowan County 23-21.

Russell has wins over Boone County 19-6, Raceland 28-18,Montgomery County 38-21, Greenup County 34-7, Ashland 17-14 and losses to Wheelersburg 35-16, Lawrence County 38-16, Paul Laurence Dunbar 42-10, East Carter 42-29.

Who  wins?

Russell is 5-4 and West Carter 7-2.

Russell might need this win to get itself back on track. They went from being one game away from clinching the one seed to now possibly looking at a trip to Putnam for the first round. No one wants to back pedal into the playoffs.

I never understood why people would try to punch someone with a facemask.

A couple of big things riding on this one:

• A West Carter win probably assures them of hosting the first three rounds of the playoffs, including a home game with Middlesboro and avoiding Beechwood until the semifinals.
• A Russell win might be enough to clear Ashland and get a first round home playoff game with the Tomcats.

I hope Russell Can get a home playoff game, always tough playing at putnam. You are right about a win  passing Ashland in the RPI. It looks like Ashland hasn't found a 10th game yet.

Your Post about the face mask. If you're insinuating I meant literally smacking them in the mouth you are far off on that. I'm trying to help pump Russell up nothing more. I mean 0 physical harm to West Carter. The talking is done on the Field. This is big game for Russell's chance to Host Ashland in Round 1.
