Last week vs. Butler, Central Hardin had 386 rushing yards and 136 passing yards. With sophomore QB Zakery Spurrier showing improvement from week one in his decision making and throwing accuracy, Central Hardin made quick work of a Butler team that was dominated up front and failed to protect the edge, where Central Hardin got most of their rushing yards. Butler's defensive secondary was also exposed by a Central Hardin team that surprisingly tried to a  balanced approach and threw the ball often, with success.

Central Hardin should expect a tougher opponent in Apollo Friday night. Apollo QB, Christian Combs has thrown for 434 yards over two games going 30-48 in passing attempts. Apollo's top receiver is Noah Rhinerson. Rhinerson has 242 yards receiving on 10 pass receptions.

Apollo has several players on defense with over 20 total tackles in 2 games, led by Bryley Best, and Dayton Brown.

I believe that Central Hardin will be able to win the line of scrimmage battle and should be able to rush the ball with some success. Their passing game with Spurrier should be enough to keep the Apollo defense off balance. Central Hardin does have several minor injuries that could be game time decisions. The highlight from last week vs. Butler had to be Terry Brooks, who rushed for 2 TDs and showed some of his speed and quickness. .

This game will end a string of games for Central Hardin that were very winnable and propel them into a three game stretch against John Hardin, Henderson County, and Fern Creek, that should define how good Central Hardin really is this season.

My Prediction for this Game:

Central Hardin 21

Apollo 12
