    Regardless of it being St. X Gold, Eastern has to be encouraged by this performance after no wins last year. Nice start for new head coach Shawn Yohn.

    I think it's a mix of JV and some varsity that aren't starters. I do agree Eastern should be improved over last year. Win or lose I think it's good experience for our younger guys.

Eastern 32 St.X Gold 14. Final.

I think Eastern has improved since 2019. One bright spot for young tigers is I thought Soph QB Trevor Havill played well.

Good experience for both teams. From what I've heard, Trevor has the potential to be a good one for the Tigers.

    In the green intrasquad scrimmage before this game, I thought Mekhi Smith played really well which is no surprise. I think he had two tds if I remember correctly. Jack Sivori looked well at QB. Defense was missing Jaxon Panariello and Micah Carter but played well other than couple big plays by Mekhi Smith. They rotated 1's and 2's so hard to get a true sense of what was good and bad. Will really find something out next week against Frederick Douglass.

    Jack will be provide an interesting dynamic to the QB position this year. Pretty accurate passer, but can make plays with his feet.

    I’m excited to see how the Tigers perform against Frederick Douglass next week. Looking forward to that matchup.
