Leisge, Hogue and Johnson are juniors, plus a power forward from North Carolina will be eligible next year for his senior season.

 

Creech, Blanton and Polson are sophomores.

 

Cumberland should be among the regional favorites again next year.

This is an impressive win for Cumberland. Powell County has been playing great basketball lately, especially since they got Romans back.

 

It's unfortunate that Harlan County High School won't be opened until 2008-09 season. With what Cumberland has coming back next year, and the addition of the players from Cawood and Evarts, the Black Bears would be loaded.

Yea,but I think that the current freshman and sophomore classes are pretty good too.The thing lacking in them groups is a 6'5 big man.

Josh Caldwell (6-4 or 6-5) is a sophomore at Cawood. Brandon McCoun is a 6-4 freshman.

I keep forgetting about Josh only being a sophomore.I've seen Brandon play a lot and he is still more of the forward or even guard spot.He's tall and skinny.

Nope.He has to sit out.His name is Garfield Wilson.He's around 6'4 or 6'5.If you have seen Junior Center Desmond Johnson just picture his height,but is a lot more muscular.

He's built a little like Charles Hurt for those who remember the 70s.
