They aren't playing top ten teams. They played good against UCLA and they played ok against UNC. If they were playing top ten teams they'd be losing. Santa Clara and U of L are barely D1. I can shoot 3's left-handed better than the Cards shot them against us and it wasn't the defense. UK is not playing better or even noticably getting better, they are playing worse teams.

Does this mean that it will be a struggle in a conference that has some quality out of conference wins to post a .500 conference record?

Their team defense is better, and, believe it or not, I think their passing is better. Some of the older guys need to shoot the ball better.

There has been improvement - hard to tell how much. But to be competitive over the last half of the SEC schedule, there needs to be a lot more.

I dont see to many teams playing top ten teams all the time hardly ever maybe one or two a week. D__e is 6th in the country and who have they played?

UK lost to Memphis, UCLA, and UNC. We weren't athletic enough to guard Memphis or UNC. We are athletic enough to match up with Santa Clara. That doesn't mean we are getting better. We are good enough to beat U of L when they miss 15 WIDE OPEN 3's and that doesn't mean our defense is getting better. Passing the ball and running the offense is extremely easier against mid-major talent then top ten talent. We got a long way to go and if the freshman don't lead us there we aren't going very far.

North Carolina shot like 34% or something. Athletic or not, UK guarded pretty well. That defense that was shown at UNC has been more consistent since. Wide open shots or not, you can't attribute UK's opponents' shooting percentages to just luck. The defense has had something to do with it.

Against U of L you can. They couldn't hit anything and yes the defense was terrible.

UK is showing improvement. Meeks, Porter, and Jasper seem to be getting better all the time. The defense is getting better. I think the team is showing effort and honestly Woo and Sheray are doing some good stuff while in the game. Now, the 3 players who need to start showing consistently particularly on offense is Crawford, Bradley, and Perry. Bradley is scoring, but his % isnt very good and he makes to many TOs.
