I thought they had a big man, just Carr doesn't use him. Played well in the first few games then hasn't put much time in since. Carr is falling into the same trap, playing only his "favorites". He has a deep bench, but won't use them. He would rather let his starters were down.

 

Lol this is a joke right. To say Carr plays favorites is compeletly incorrect. If you have ever seen him coach or even talk to him, you would know that is the farthest thing from the truth. Carr plays 7 because right now Scott only has only 7 players that can consistintly play on the varsity level.(8 when Scott gets Baker.) Carr "PLAYS TO WIN THE GAME"

Their starters are basically 6'0" -6'3" and they don't have a big man(over 6'3") on their bench. So, what big man are you talking about? I don't think Coach Carr has favorites, but he does play his BEST players most of the time. By saying they have a deep bench is a very, very, far stretch!

 

 

Sophs on the bench just aren't ready for extensive varsity action yet. Hiller has played well in stretches but he is probably only underclassman who is going to see significant minutes.

 

Carr appears to be pretty equal opportunity when it comes to chewing the players out so it would be hard to say he is playing favorites. I think he is a pretty competitive guy:lol: and is going to play the players who he feels give him the best chance to win.

Got to totally disagree with this one... Coach Carr has a very fiery coaching style, but he is also a very fair man. He is going to put his best five on the floor and do everything in his power to put them in the postion to win. He doesn't play 'favorites'. I've seen him be harder on his best players and doesn't cut slack on anybody. He is very demanding and works the team hard... They knew this years team was going to be smaller than in previous years. The style of play was put in place to put his team in a position to win games. The defense that they play is tough to play the entire game. The team does wear down as the game goes on. It may have caused them to lose to SK and Dixie, but on the other hand it may have kept them in the game and give them an opportunity to keep it close enough to have an opportunity to win. If anybody on the bench was good enough (and there are some good subs that come in) to play on a varsity level, I can assure you that they would be playing...
