Strong Points/ Weak Points

Pitching may be a problem, Harris and Litmer return but that's all I can think of. Lost some key defensive players who were pretty good sticks. They will be on of those teams that can beat anybody but not consistantly IMO.

Who is he?

There's a few who did not play last year due to injury and transfer rules.

Pretty sure Jake Neugent, Jarrod Shields, and Dylan Wells will be playing.

Maybe a couple more as well, guess we'll see in about 45 days or so.

Pitching we will be young in. Harris and Litmer first come to mind as strong points. Pangallo (junior) pitched very well in the Corbin tournment last year . Wrobleski (also a junior) saw varsity pitching time last year but is suppositly out for the season (shoulder surgery). We will have alot of dept but no varsity experience

I've heard Ryle has a transfer from Arkansas or somewhere out that way . I have no idea of a name or anything . Only thing the guy said is he throws in the mid - 90's .That is pretty good for a high school kid . Not sure what grade he is in .

Their going to be strong as it is, like they need more help?

I think you are talking about Dylan Campbell, moved in from Arkansas last year. He was a DB an Punter on Ryle's football team. I understand he started on his State Championship baseball team as a sophmore. He is a third baseman, outfielder and pitcher. Will be intresting to see where Coach Roesel uses him. I understand he has Gwags speed and Murray power so coach might want him in the lineup everyday, sounds like a good 2 or 3 hitter.

Never saw a gun on him, but he brings it.

Who is he?

They are talking about Dylan Wells who is the Nate Edmondson of High School Baseball. He has been at Scott, Beechwood, and now Dixie. He is not exceptional by no means, he is a good player though and should help Dixie next year.

From what I was told, none of the aforementioned statements can be placed on the young man's shoulders. He did as a sophomore, however, hit in the .350s-.360s and steal 25+ bases. I'd say that's exceptional for a sophomore, but to each his own I suppose.

I was under the impression that he didn't start for Beechwood. Don't remember him playing against us.

I don't believe he was a full-season starter. However he didn't play against us either, muscle tear in the leg, I believe hamstring, kept him benched for the last 10 or so games of the season if I remember correctly. More of a placed, utility player above anything else for that team

J.V or varsity level..impressive stats depending on the number of at bats... I never said he was a bad player just not expecptional... I doubt how ever he saw a lot of varsity playing time as a sophmore at Beechwood.

A Utility is a good player but not exactly what i would call exceptional.Expectional would be if he was an everyday starter putting those numbers up...Im not saying he is not a good player. He just isn't what i would call exceptional. Also he left Scott on his own will, I know this because i was a member of Scott's baseball team when he was a freshman.

Again, taking into consideration being a sophomore on a powerhouse team, I don't believe he played at the JV level at all. 15 to 20 games of 3 to 4 at-bats would be my guess. Either way, with more baseball in the summer leagues, we hope he'll produce the same, if not better numbers as a full-time starter as a senior.

I hope as well he puts those numbers up as he is a good kid and a good player and will help Dixie. I just personally think he is an exceptional player, but that is my opinion.
