After having a clean slate all the way until my Senior year at Tilghman, I finally decided I'd explore my wild side. 

I was suspended for calling a teacher by his first name. This teacher happened to be one of my best friend's dad. I won't mention his first name, but it was kind of a running joke amongst all of us, including the teacher himself. 

A big group of us had called him that since back in middle school and a lot of fun was had over the years. I never saw this one comimg. 

I had just left school on the way to work and yelled his name like the thousands of times before and he waved. 

That was a Friday. On Monday morning, I got called to the Dean's office for the first time ever informing me I'd be suspended for 3 days for disrespecting him starting the next day. 

I was in disbelief. I also told them to go ahead and add another day to it because there was no way I was coming back Friday and that I'd enjoy my time off.

That might be the most absurd reason to suspend a student of all time haha!

I agree! All these years later, we still talk about that. There were actually two of us who got suspended over that one. 

I'm still really good friends with the other culprit to this day. It's something we'll always scratch our heads over. 

As stupid as it was, it's pretty funny as well to think back on it. 

When I was in elementary school I was on the playground during recess throwing small flat sandstones and watching them sail through the air, similar to skipping flat rocks across a lake or pond. Well, it just so happened that a boy was running back toward the school and his head met one of my rocks in perfect unison and he went down to his knees holding his head. He was okay with the exception of a swollen and bruised head, but after recess my butt wasn't okay after my teacher got finished with me. I tried to explain to her that if he hadn't been running from point A to point B my rock would have sailed harmlessly off into the distance and landed back to earth, but that didn't seem to register with her, ??
