Anderson County 57 Bethlehem 56

Final from Lawrenceburg.

Wow!

I confess I don't know much about Bethlehem other than their record / scores....I was eagerly awaiting this score for some kind of validation of their ranking.....they had posted some impressive wins of note, but this is a truly impressive score for the Banshees, despite taking the loss.

Highly ranked teams just weren't getting it done as a rule against undefeated Anderson.

To compare.....Franklin County lost to Anderson by 32 points....  (and Franklin was ranked #1 at the time).

For those of us looking for evidence of Bethlehem's power, I'd say we got it!   Congrats to both teams!   This looks like it was a game to see!

All A winner and runner up last 2 years really good program.

That's right.....Bethlehem has been probably the premier small school program the last few years...but it looks like they may have taken it up a notch this season....

I was impressed with them when I saw them at last year’s All A at EKU.

I’ll  admit that I had been pronouncing the name of their school wrong and didn’t know it. I made that discovery after hearing a radio broadcast of one of their games at the All A state tournament. They pronounce it “Beth-lum”. I’ve always heard it pronounced as “Beth-la-hem” or “Beth-la-ham”. At least I think that’s how most of eastern Kentucky pronounces it.

Lots of Kentuckians say "Beth-la-hem"...including one of their former coaches who I know well.
