Two guards I hadn't thougt of until I saw the PCC/Cordia score is Zack Hurt and Corey Gamble. Very good guard combination for Cordia. They can shoot and drive.

These guards from Cordia can play. Someone on here said Cordia wasn't very good, but I disagree with that.

I disagree as well. Cordia has been a good team for the last few years. They are a tough team to beat. A very dangerous team with a very good coach in Honeycutt.

Smith is not that good of a player if it wasnt for Hollan and Noble Breathitt woulnt have won a game.The only good game Smith had was against Hazard.

 

If Breathitt wins it will be because they utilize the Smith kid. Hollan is a good shooting guard, but the Noble kid isn't the best point guard on the team. They have another freshman guard, a Fugate kid, that looks bigger and better.

Isn't even a competition. Stepp and Cox form the best backcourt in the region and one of the best in the state.

from what i have seen from your other posts, you seem to be a breathitt fan. Why don't you support all the breathitt kids instead of just a couple of them.

Fugate kid is going to be a good player with time. He is more of a 2 guard or small forward than a point guard. From the couple of games I have seen, Noble is the right choice at the point.

I live down here in Lexington and don't get to come back to Breathitt as much as I would like to watch the bobcats. But from watching a few games, The Fugate kid seems to be stronger and a better ball handler. Don't get me wrong, Noble is a talented player. But, the Fugate kid is going to be a big time talent in years to come. I watched both of these kids in an AAU tourney down here in Lexington last year, Noble is good, but the Fugate kid is a special talent.

I do try to give all of these kids credit. They all play extremely hard and are talented players. The Smith kid is the key to the team and Hollan is a great player. Aaron Combs is a workhouse. I would just like to see Breathitt get the right lineup out there, so they could not just be a good team, but a great team.

Which game did you see? I saw the Hazard game and the Cordia game. Noble really played well against Hazard. I think he had 3 or 4 threes and handled the press really well against Hazard. He also had two big steals in the last minute against Cordia to help preserve the win. I think Fugate is going to be a great player, but he may be a two guard or three where he can use his strength to score.

I didn't get to make it to the Hazard game, sounded like a good game on the radio. I watched them play Owsley and saw them in a scrimmage or two. I haven't really gotten to see the Fugate kid play much on varsity to see what he is capable of, but he is impressive as a point on JV. Noble does a good job of running the point, but it seems that when I was listening to the Hazard game on the radio he had a little trouble with the press. I remember the announcers saying that he had to call a couple of timeouts late in the game when he was in trouble with the press. It just sounds like that a stronger guard could break the pressure better.

I am a Jackson fan, but i cheer for all Breathitt Co. teams. Noble just looked real comfortable against the Hazard press. I wish him and Fugate the best.

I hope you get to see more Breathitt games, they are fun to watch.
