NFL Players who were not high school all state

All state selections come out at this time of the year. Fans of schools that had players overlooked are sometimes outraged, to put it mildly. How many high school football players in Kentucky, for whatever reason, were overlooked for all state recognition but went on to play in the NFL? One of note would be Phil Simms, who not only did not make all state, but also failed to make all district!

Not sure about this........Steve Raible (WR) at Trinity and Seattle Seahawks. Was Steve all state?

I don't believe Billy Lyon was All State at Lloyd and he had a nice 6 year career with the Vikings and Packers...

Jerry Reynolds from HHS. I think he only started 1/2 way through his senior year....Was in the NFL for around 5 or 6 years as a backup lineman for Dallas and the New York Giants..Goes to show you can't teach size 6'6 and over 300 pounds.......:thumb:
