Long time 8th region referee James “Cornbread” Stethen passed away. He will be much missed.

I saw him still officiating 8th region games as late as 3 or 4 years ago I believe. I always remember for years Ashland would bring him in each year to call the AIT.

Classy guy.   When I was picking a referee some years back to feature in an on-air interview in the 8th Region, only one person made sense - Cornbread.   Great interview, too.

We'll miss him.
