I know we ended up with 4 sacks today, but I was a little disappointed in the pass rush besides for Geathers. The Raiders line is terrible yet we still let Brooks have time to throw, and we just got lucky that he is terrible and cant hit a wide open receiver. Peyton will pick us apart next week if we dont get pressure on him. IMO if we are going to win next week we are going to have to score 30 or 40, or even just to be safe lets say 50...:D

I do have to question the Bengals coaching decision last year to have Geathers at defensive tackle on passing downs last year. I still dont get that move, because he is a speed rusher and he showed his rookie year, and now this year what he can doing rushing from the edge on passing downs. He has quietly had a great season...

It wasn’t pretty, but it was historic and effective.

 

Despite four turnovers, the Bengals remained in the playoff picture with a 27-10 victory Sunday over Oakland at Paul Brown Stadium when 65,882 watched them log two 100-yard receivers and a 100-yard rusher for the first time in team history.

 

It was also their eighth victory, securing their fourth straight non-losing season for the first time in a generation with three games left.

 

In an effort to rid the 2-10 Raiders of visions of an upset, the Bengals broke to a 14-0 lead in the game’s first 12 minutes behind running back Rudi Johnson’s 55 yards on his first 11 carries and then began to ease away when Johnson’s second touchdown of the day gave them a 21-3 lead with 5:31 left in the third quarter.

 

It may have not been pretty, but it was dominant on both sides. The Bengals never punted and Raiders Pro Bowl defensive tackle Warren Sapp didn't appear on the stat sheet for tackles.

They have been awful. That's what scares me...

:thumb: Good point, excatly what I was thinking :eek: .As for today, WHO DEY :ylsuper: and a good, needed win vs. a lousy team that if the Bengals would have lost with their remaining schedule it would pretty much had been over. GO BENGALS!!!!:dancingpa (I said in another threads that this latest arrest made it harder to be Bengal fan, not impossible or that I had pulled my support :D )

It was funny.....The stadium felt really dead today. It was almost like everyone there was just going through the motions. I guess that's what happens when you play a team like Oakland.

 

 

BTW, the Raider Nation fans are by far the most entertaining and fun opposing fans I've seen. There was a group sitting next to us that had a huge sign that read: GET THE SHELL OUT! Another group of Raider fans near us started screaming for them to kick a fg whenever they crossed mid-field....They said it was inevitable that Brooks would screw up.:lol: :lol:
