December 12, 200619 yr You mean the sky isn't falling Chicken Little. You know someone with the resources and marketing needs to get a Chicken Little license, have the years of the 7 titles falling from the sky and a UK mascot running around screaming, the sky is falling, the sky is falling. Chicken's only good if it's done the Colonel's way. Everyone knows that.
December 13, 200619 yr 6 attempts... but none-the-less, a goose egg. IK believe of Nazr Mohammed's 6 missed freethrows in the 1997 loss I think he missed like 5 in a row if me memory serves me correctly goin down the stretch. He just couldnt hit one to win it for the cats. Im just happy it was against Arizona and not a team as wretched and evil as duke... Not goin to lie, over recent years I have cheared for Arizona when they weren't playing Ky. Lute Olsen is one of the classiest coaches in basketball.
December 13, 200619 yr The bottom line of this whole argument is that Tubby was the coach, end of discussion. These things go in cycles. Noone will ever repeat the cycle that UCLA had and probably won't repeat the mini-cycle that UK during Pitino's final seasons at UK. Rick won a title at UK. Tubby won a title at UK. Those are the facts. :thumb: No matter how anyone wants to try to spin it, you have just stated my whole argument about Tubby winning with Pitino's players . People need to get over Pitino and move on. We have a very good coach. I question some things like his offensive sets like and a lot of times going east-west and not taking the ball to the middle enough. Tubby's defense is GREAT, I don't see many other teams playing defense as well as U.K.. Bottom line is that we have a very good coach and all the negative comments/feelings on U.K. will produce nothing but negatives.
