The girls were dialed in tonight. No one moreso than Kaeli Ross. She went off for 33 points on the biggest stage of her career.

Boyd County lost last year's Miss Basketball, but were back here again for a crack at a four-peat of region titles. Coach Fraley and his program are the real deal. They only lose one senior next year, so expect them to be back again in 2021.

I have a lot of respect for Pete and his program, always a tough game with them.

I hope Mandy Layne wins many more region titles as the Lady Red Devils coach.

Boyd County had won 16 straight postseason games within the 16th Region entering tonight. They've mostly had their way with area teams in recent years. It becomes a psychological thing after a while, but Russell never let it bother them tonight.

Russell will meet Region 4 winner Bowling Green Thursday at 6:30 at Rupp arena.
