What: #14 Collins (24-7) vs. Henry County (18-14)

When: Wednesday, 3/4/2020 approximately 8 pm ET

Where: Henry County HS, New Castle, KY

Broadcast: The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN Live video coverage, plus archived on the site for one year.

Collins and Henry County meet for the first time this season in the first round of the boys' 8th Region tournament on the Wildcats' home court in New Castle.

Collins, ranked #14 in BGP, may be lacking two starters, Caleb Hawley and Tyson Turner, but the Titans are still one of the favorites for the region title with all-region guards Dayvion McKnight - who won the region player of the year award - and Marcellus Vail. The Titans are extremely talented defensively in the half court, and explosive on offensive. McKnight regularly posts double-doubles.

Henry is led by all-region senior center Trevor Hardin. Ethan Lankford is also a scoring machine, though he was held to just 2 points in the district final loss to Gallatin County. Kevin Wix (guard) and forward/center Ryan Phillips are both capable scorers.

If Henry can get something going on the inside and stay out of foul trouble, the Cats may have the opportunity for the big upset in front of their home fans. That, however, will be a big challenge against the Titans, who bring an athletic team to the fray. If Collins can dictate tempo, it could be a long night for Henry County.

As always, we will feature LIVE VIDEO coverage. Tonight, for the first time at New Castle, we will feature a broadcast with multiple cameras. We are working with the Henry County HS audio-visual team and students will be running the cameras.

I understand Turner is back and healthy for Collins. Based solely on their run through the 30th district, it looks to me like the Titans are focused and hungry.
