Mayfield - 2019 Schedule

Mayfield was 9-1 in the 2019 regular season, losing 45-35 to McCracken County at home. They hosted Lausanna Collegiate in their season opening and beat them 45-22, and will be heading down to Memphis this year to face them a second time. They also had a close one against Madisonville-North Hopkins in the final week of the regular season, pulling out a 53-50 road win over the Maroons.

 

Mayfield has to replace quarterback Jayden Stinson, a four year varsity letterman and 3-year starter who is currently on the finalists ballot for the 2019 Mr. Football award. Additionally, they will have to find replacements for their #1, #2, #3, and #4 receivers

Tough schedule only two struggling teams and those are district games so they didn’t have a choice Mayfield schedules as tough as anyone.

There are a lot more question marks than usual for next year's Mayfield team. There are a lot of key pieces to replace and the replacements are not obvious. Only two returning starters on offense. There are five returning starters on defense so things look a little better there. Mayfield will be very young and inexperienced next year with probably only 2-3 senior starters.
