Auburn has 15 of their 30 points from the foul line. Auburn is shooting 30% from the field and 11% from 3 maybe they will play some zone in the 2nd half. If they keep fouling I think they will have to.

Cats lead 35-34 at the half. Cats played hard but fouling to much and gave up 9 offensive rebounds to a under sized team. Cut those out the Cats should win.

With the fouls the zone definitely would help with that. With that said one is the reasons why Auburn is shooting so bad, is because of the defense and Auburn not having many easy looks. That changes when you play zone. So it kind of works both ways.

Well, we learned at the end of the half that either Quickly or Hagans have to be on the floor playing point.

 

Cats need to box out guys all over the floor. Auburn is laying bricks from 3 which turn into long rebounds. If you run to the rim, the ball goes right by you into the hands of the other team.

 

Cats played very good defense till the last few minutes of the half.

Refs apparently decided to tighten things up at halftime. Some very cheap foul calls early in the second half.

Auburn has a bunch of very good athletes and use that well. Not much skill on display but they can go at you athletically.

I guess I’m beating a dead horse but thinking back other than the 3 three point FG’s Auburn May have one midrange jumper the rest of their points have been off FT’s from being fouled driving to the hoop or driving made layups. Maybe try some zone.

Hagans just picked up his 4th foul from just standing on a missed shot and not going after the ball. It’s like the other 4 guys expect Nick to get every rebound.

Auburn has only 16 defensive rebounds but they gave 15 offensive rebounds.

If Kentucky would play zone the rest of this game and would rebound I seriously think they could win by 10 or more.

Finally played zone but don’t know why they are spreading it out so wide. Auburn is 3-20 from 3 they don’t need to extend it that far out.
