Getslow Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Spend $135 million on two receivers and a QB while emphasizing the running game and not upgrading the offensive line and this is what happens against good teams. Lots if analysis to be done this offseason to see if this is sustainable. The Saints win was impressive, but I still can’t figure out just how it happened.

Low, We couldn't block the front 4, plain and simple. They have a good, but, not great offensive line, but, need another stud tackle to win the battles against teams like the 49ers.

The directive to the offense from Zimmer was clear: I'm building a defense over here and I want you to emphasize the running game. Great if you can pull it off, but the line simply isn't good enough to use Cook to set up play-action. That's supposed to be the whole offense and that's why it's looked so poor against good teams this season.
