What are the numbers for the All "A" classic?

The numbers in basketball and football are generated differently. In football they consider grades 9-12 to deteremine your class, and in basketball they only use grades 10-12. Knott county has a monster freshman class, but since it's not used in determining All A status in basketball, the other 3 grades are significantly smaller and they are under the number and are allowed to enter.

Hasn't just about every school in eastern Kentucky lost enrollment over the last decade or two?

Not if Corbin is considered eastern kentucky(I guess we are SE Ky), enrollment is at an all-time high at the high school level and system wide.

All "A" has always been 425 or less in grades 10-12, and includes many 2-A football schools!!

Corbin is in Knox and Whitley Counties, of which both I consider in Southeast Kentucky.

Most mountain schools have lost enrollment in the past 25 years. Our school had a 9-12 enrollment of around 320 in the 1970s and was still at 285 as much as 10 years ago. But last year we were down to 225 students. Breathitt County used to have around 1100 students, now they're under 650. Same with Knott. As a matter of fact, Breathitt and Leslie both just barely missed the All A cutoff last year.

I guess it's the economy causing people to leave the region for jobs, added with couples having less kids than they used to.
